It has been a good opening month for Baboo Airlines new flights to Geneva from London City Airport according to their chief executive Jacques Bankir. The route which was vacated by Cityjet and taken over by Baboo recently has exceeded targets in its opening month.

Mr. Bankir who formally worked for Cityjet talked of his return to London City Airport as a homecoming. He spoke of the airlines optimistic outlook regarding their new routes. He pointed to the difference between aircrafts. Baboo uses a Bombardier 2-400 for the route which is a very quiet and energy efficient plane.

Baboo also offers connecting routes to Venice and Florence from Geneva. Passengers need not change planes at Geneva if traveling to Venice.

At present there are eleven weekly flights from London City Airport to Geneva with an extra flight due to be added before Christmas. Mr. Bankir spoke of changes he has seen at the airport over the years with a move towards holiday passengers rather than just business customers.

New Terminal at Geneva Airport

A new terminal was opened at Geneva Airport on Monday October 26th. After three years of construction work the terminal was unveiled as the initial part of an airport revamp costing up to two hundred and fifty million dollars.
